9 DAYS: NAIROBI – AMBOSELI – LAKE MANYARA – SERENGETI – NGORONGORO – TARANGIRE – END IN ARUSHA SAFARI
Start out viewing great herds of elephants at Kenya’s Amboseli Park. And possible snow-capped views of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Then onto Tanzania and the diverse wildlife of Lake Manyara to explore its vast herds of pelicans and infinite coloration of flamingos inhabiting the lake area. Other highlights of this rich game park are its unique tree climbing lions and huge troops of baboon.
Next is the Serengeti and game viewing looking for the Big Five. Everything about Serengeti National Park is epic – its unimaginable stretch of grasslands, its millions of wildebeests and its massive population of lion, believed to be the largest in Africa. You’ll find all the large predators here as well as hyena, wolf, honey badger, baboon and monkey. The images of the Serengeti are indelible and will perhaps stay with you as the most treasured of your safari memories.
You’ll travel to the crater floor of Ngorongoro Crater for more wildlife and sunset views. This is an immense, extinct caldera known for its protected wildlife ecosystem. Arriving on the crater floor you’ll find yourself in a vast environment abounding with large animals including rhino, buffalo, hippo, zebra, eland and of course lion.
Finally head to Tarangire with its own special ecosystem. It takes its name – as well as its game wealth – from the Tarangire River which flows through the park, attracting elephants and many other animals.

Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli
0730hrs: Pick-up from your hotel/residence.
Proceed to Amboseli National Park which lies at the foot of the majestic Kilimanjaro (Africa’s highest mountain) and is Kenya’s most sought after photographic paradise. The Amboseli National park boasts of a spectacular display of wildlife with the presence of the Big five and is home to the Jumbo elephants. Amboseli is also home to the Maasai who have adapted to living with the wild animals around them.
Dinner and overnight at a camp/lodge.
Day 2: Full day in Amboseli
On this day, enjoy game viewing drives in the morning and afternoon as you enjoy Amboseli’s scenery. On a clear morning, this is the best time to view Mt. Kilimanjaro. In the late afternoon, if you wish, you can visit a Maasai village and experience the culture of the Maasai people for US$ 20 person.

Day 3: Amboseli to Lake Manyara - via Namanga border point
Today you start with breakfast and check out from your camp and depart Amboseli for Namanga border point. After clearing with customs formalities your Tanzanian guide will pick up and proceed with your safari in Tanzania to arrive at Lake Manyara in good time for check in and lunch. After lunch and relaxation you embark on an afternoon game viewing drives.

Day 4: Lake Manyara to Serengeti
Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast then depart for Tanzania’s famed, Serengeti National Park. Arrive at your lodge for lunch.
Enjoy an afternoon game viewing drive at the world famous Serengeti National Park which is Tanzania’s oldest park, and one of the world’s last great wildlife refuges. It stretches as far as Lake Victoria to the West. Its name comes from the Maasai word Siringet, meaning ‘endless plains’

Day 5: Full day at Serengeti
Today you have a day in the Serengeti with early morning and late afternoon game drives in search of any game that may still have eluded you in your previous game viewing drives. You may even opt to have an uninterrupted full day of game viewing drives in the Serengeti.
Wildlife that roam the vast park include lions (the adult males of Serengeti have characteristic black manes), cheetahs, hunting dogs, Savannah elephant, Cape buffalo, topis, warthogs, hunting dogs and spotted hyena among others.

Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro
After breakfast depart to the Ngorongoro Conservation area with a brief stop at the Oldupai Gorge, one of the most important prehistoric sites in the world to learn on human evolution. We will enjoy an on-site talk on the interpretation of the gorge by the resident guide before continuing your journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Proceed towards the rim of the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater stopping occasionally to admire the breath-taking vista unfolding before you. Arrive for check in, thereafter lunch.
This afternoon just relax and enjoy the panoramic views of the crater, the largest unbroken caldera in the world. It has been described as one of the great natural wonders of the world.

Day 7: Full day in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area + Crater Tour
After breakfast descend some 600 metres into the crater, which is home to an abundance of wildlife and a photogenic paradise, for a full day of game-viewing drive with picnic lunch at a private scenic site. The Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact caldera in the world teams with an abundance of wildlife permanently resident on the crater floor. Prides of lions, herds of Cape buffalo, impala, Thompson gazelles, rhino, golden and black-backed jackal, zebra, cheetah, leopard and the spotted hyena.

Day 8: Ngorongoro to Tarangire
This morning we depart on a pleasant drive to Tarangire National Park retains a real air of undiscovered Africa, particularly in the south of the park.
Arrive in time for lunch and some leisure time, later in the afternoon head out for game viewing drive in search of elephants, the park is most renounced for it highest population of elephants than anywhere in Tanzania, its sparse vegetation, strewn with baobab and acacia trees, makes it a beautiful and special location.

Day 9: Tarangire to Arusha
This morning enjoy your breakfast then check-out. Unbelievable but true, your good bush moments have come to an end. You bid farewell to Tarangire team and depart to Arusha. Not empty handed though, with you are photographs – a capture of the special moments you have had on this tour to immortalize the experience.
Drop off at your hotel/residence in Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your homebound flight.
